Since 2013, we have led the effort to introduce our mission to over 200 Co-Owners. We work around the clock to make sure that you are satisfied with everything that is Taste Of Victory.

Our Mission

Our Mission at Taste Of Victory Stables is simple. EDUCATE our co-owners, introduce them to an EXPERIENCE and most importantly, WIN. Our team has over forty years of combined experience in horse racing and want to share everything we know with YOU.

Taste of Victory Stables is a passion project for our founding partners, Kyle Yost and Brian Richardson. The team at Taste of Victory was united by a mutual love of Thoroughbred racing and desire to share the sport with others.

In 2004, Kyle got into horse racing by claiming a horse named Mymommadonetoldme, who won 3 of his first 7 races under the new ownership. On the heels of that success, Kyle was involved in seven horses through purchase, claim and partnerships the following year.

In 2008, Brian co-founded Cherry Hawk Stables, which started as a partnership of 20 people who each made an investment of $3,000 to purchase their first colt, Twenty Hawks, named after his dad and the 19 other investors. This hard-knocking gelding earned nearly $400K in purse money and developed quite a fan-following. He is currently retired and a full time equestrian horse in West Virginia. Cherry Hawk Stables continues to run under Brian’s leadership, and has amassed over $500,000 in earnings.

In 2010 Kyle wanted to advance his thoroughbred interests by aligning to one or two strategic trainers. Around the same time, Kyle decided to partner with his friend and business partner, Brian Richardson, to team with the Southern California connections of Old English Rancho.

In 2015, it was time to take the next step in the growth of the partnership and Taste of Victory Stables officially began.

Between Kyle and Brian's partnerships and the launch of Taste of Victory, we have had over 600 starters through 2019!

In 2015 Long Island, New York based Russ joined the team. His focus is in areas such as strategies for expansion, enhancements in the co-owner experience (including social media adoption), and relationships with the industry (e.g., Jockey Club, NYRA, Stronach Group, NTRA). Russ’s love for horse racing started as a teen at Brandywine Harness Racetrack and transitioned to Thoroughbreds in the mid-1970s when his future father-in-law turned him on to horses like Affirmed and Seattle Slew (Russ witnessed both of the Triple Crown wins in the Belmont Stakes), and family trips to Saratoga during the racing season. Russ’s license plate is “BYANOSE”. Need we say more?

In 2019 Lexington, KY based Erin joined the team as the Director of Operations. Erin brings experience in multiple facets of the Thoroughbred industry and is focused on the growth and expansion of Taste of Victory Stables
