Our Justify Group was formed when Orlando-based Seal Shield Founder and CEO Brad Whitchurch discussed the acquisition of a racing prospect. We acquired a yearling from Carrie Brogden's Machmer Hall farm and sent her to Kenny McPeek for early breaking and race training. This filly later named Seal Shield showed a lot of promise in her training, so much so that McPeek transferred her to his barn at Gulfstream Park prior to her debut. â€‹

Seal Shield raced twice, finishing 5th and 4th, before the decision was made to retire her. Seal Shield has taken to her new life beautifully. She participated in the Retired Racehorse Project's Thoroughbred Makeover in October 2022.  The Thoroughbred Makeover, held once a year at the Kentucky Horse Park, is a retraining competition for ex-racehorses. The event is intended to inspire trainers to become involved in transitioning these horses into new careers.

Seal Shield finished 24th in Competitive Trail and 14th in Freestyle.
