A Fun-Filled August with Taste of Victory Stables

Taste of Victory Stables strives to create memorable experiences around horse racing and we absolutely accomplished this in August with great events and racing on both coasts.

Our New York based filly Marley’s Ghost had her second, second-place finish of the year at Saratoga in August. She has given us quite the thrill during this meet and is anticipated to run again on closing weekend.

We participated in the “Racing Partnerships Night” at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame where we enjoyed meeting future racehorse owners. We also donated a “Morning at the Workouts” for a fundraiser for the Museum.

In addition to these events, we hosted one of our “Day at the Races” events at Saratoga on August 10th. Many of our co-owners got to visit Michael Trombetta’s barn to meet Marley’s Ghost. Everyone also enjoyed a visit to the paddock, watched morning workouts, a buffet luncheon, and a handicapping session.

On Friday the 11th, our co-owners got an inside-the-ropes experience when we offered a Volatile yearning for sale at the Fasig-Tipton New York bred Sale. “And yes, we enjoyed the food and drink from the many popular restaurants and bars in Saratoga,” TOV member Russ Sapienza said.

Our New York fun is only just beginning. We are currently searching for horses to claim for the Kelso Group via private purchase and the claim box. If you’d like to join us for this adventure, contact Russ Sapienza at RussSapienza@gmail.com to learn how you can become a co-owner.

We also had a blast on the opposite coast at beautiful Del Mar.

We auctioned off a Day at the Races with Taste of Victory Stables to raise money for Las Floristas and Rancho Los Amigos Children’s Hospital. The highest bidders of $800 enjoyed a wonderful day that included box seats graciously arranged by Old English Rancho, a barn tour, a paddock visit, a handicapping session, and some TOV swag to take home with them.

We also hosted a similar, non-charity event for our co-owners toward the end of the month.

In all, August has been a fantastic month for Taste of Victory Stables and our co-owners. We believe there is nothing better than connecting with our fellow horse racing lovers with these behind-the-scenes experiences at such world-class venues. We'd love to have you join us at our upcoming events, so be sure to sign up for our mailing list to be the first to know about them.
