Taste of Victory Stables Offers Racehorse Ownership Groups in New York and Ohio

Taste of Victory Stables is amping up our racehorse ownership offerings this year. We already have two new groups forming, one on the East Coast and one in the Midwest: The Summer in Saratoga Group and an Ohio Group.

The Saratoga Group will race horses in New York, highlighted by campaigns at the historic Saratoga Race Course. We have had quite a bit of success in New York in the past: I’llhandalthecash won the License Fee Stakes at Belmont Park in 2020 and was 4th in the Intercontinental Stakes (G3), Binkster had multiple stakes placings in New York, and more recently Marley’s Ghost had two second place finishes in maiden company at Saratoga.

“New York has a friendly condition book for New York-breds, and the purse structure is extremely competitive," East Coast Managing Partner Russ Sapienza explained in an article recently published in Paulick Report. "They also have a strong aftercare program which is important to our partners. When you race at places like Saratoga, you get to compete at an elite level in sport while still being part of a small barn or group. You can't do that in any other sport.”

Our Ohio group will have multiple horses racing at Belterra Park, Mahoning Valley, and Thistledown - tracks we’ve succeeded at. Brink Point won five races at Belterra Park during his campaign from 2020 - 2022, Lust for Life was 3rd in the Joshua Radosevich Memorial Stakes at Mahoning Valley, and Commissioner D broke her maiden at Mahoning.

Taste of Victory Stables offers a plethora of benefits to our co-owners, including but not limited to actual equity (we are not a club), special events, and behind-the-scenes access.

"On race days, they are always willing to host owners at the track, and even set up barn tours for up-close access to the horses and the trainers," co-owner Jeff Guffey said. "It really makes you feel like a true owner and horseman. I think that is what differentiates a group like Taste of Victory from other ownership groups that are less hands on, and more crowd-sourced.”
